Persistent rains this past week managed to let up long enough for thousands of Lemoore parade enthusiasts to line downtown D Street on a chilly Saturday evening to watch the annual Lemoore Christmas Parade, and there were plenty of floats, dignitaries, vehicles, bands, and kids to put on a colorful show.
The annual parade is sponsored annually by the Lemoore Chamber of Commerce. Approximately 100 participants began their march at the Lemoore Stadium Cinemas and then ended it at the corner of Fox and D streets, the site of the traditional Christmas tree that towers over the downtown area.
The annual parade has grown over the years, prompting at least two judges stations where announcers Tony Oliveira and Jay Salyer identified and praised the various floats, individuals, bands, and more.
