Salas earns award from state manufacturers and technology association

The CMTA works to improve and enhance a strong business climate for California's 30,000 manufacturing, processing and technology based companies. The mission of IEA is to promote responsible, cost-effective environmental laws and regulations and facilitate compliance.
“I’m glad to have been able to successfully fight to improve and enhance a strong business climate for California's manufacturers,” said Assemblymember Salas. “It’s an honor to be selected as Legislator of the Year by the California Manufacturers & Technology Association and I look forward to continuing to partner with them to develop balanced laws and sound policies that help grow our economy and create jobs.”
In selecting Assemblymember Salas for this award, the CMTA and IEA took note of his thoughtful and solid record of supporting measures that strengthen the role manufacturing plays in the economy to support high wage jobs and small businesses.
"California manufacturers appreciate Rudy's attention to the need to protect the economy, especially the good, middle class manufacturing jobs we need in the state," said Dorothy Rothrock, President, California Manufacturers & Technology Association, "We are pleased to recognize his efforts with this important award."
Assemblymember Salas accepted the award at the 31st Annual Environmental Training Symposium and Conference where he joined a panel discussion to discuss continued efforts in the legislature to protect jobs and grow the economy.
