Kings County Congressman David Valadao celebrated a very special Christmas this month. He spent Christmas day in Kuwait on a Congressional delegation organized by the House Committee on Foreign Affairs. While he was there, the local Representative shared a Christmas meal with U.S. troops currently serving in Iraq. Many of the troops included California natives.

“While most Americans were able to spend today with their family and loved ones, many members of our military did not have the same opportunity,” said Valadao.

“Spending Christmas with the brave men and women of our Armed Forces was truly the most humbling experience, and I cannot begin to express how grateful I am for their service to our nation.

“While spending the holiday in the Middle East with our troops was an unforgettable experience, I hope when I see them next, it is here at home.”
