Open WHC registration begins May 2

Open registration for students attending West Hills College Lemoore, West Hills College Coalinga and North District Center, Firebaugh is just around the corner, beginning on May 2.

Some students with priority registration will begin signing up as early as April 19. All students will be able to take advantage of West Hills’ innovative Reg365 advance registration, which allows students to sign up for a full year of classes at one time. Students will be able to register for classes in the summer 2016, fall 2016, and spring 2017 semesters.

“Reg365 makes it easy for students to register and to lock in the classes they need,” said Rita Grogan, West Hills Community College District Associate Vice Chancellor of Enrollment Management and Institutional Effectiveness. “Unlike colleges that only allow students to register for one future term, REG365 allows students the opportunity to secure and ensure their class schedules for multiple terms throughout the academic year.  West Hills College is at the forefront of providing this advantage to all our students, both new and current.”

Priority registration students will enroll between April 19 and April 29 while open enrollment for all students begins on May 2. Once registration opens on May 2, students can register at any point in time.

The class schedule is now available. To search for classes with open seats, visit the online course schedule at http://tiny.cc/2016schedule and search #openseats. The search can then be narrowed down by campus or subject.

West Hills Community College District offers a variety of opportunities for students who enroll, including a wide range of academic and vocational programs, scholarships and staff and faculty who are committed to the relentless pursuit of student success.

Students can enroll in programs including agriculture science and technology, nursing, psychiatric technician training, and culinary arts.

Students also have abundant transfer opportunities and the ability to either prepare for a career by earning a technical certificate or Associate Degree or to earn credits for transfer to a four-year university. West Hills also offers a guaranteed transfer agreement with schools in the California State University system for students who earn associate degrees in a variety of subjects.
