West Hills College Coalinga, along with the City of Coalinga, Fresno Regional Workforce Investment Board, Workforce Connection and All Youth One System, will be presenting a career and job fair in Coalinga on May 3.
The fair, which will be held at Keck Community Center at 555 Monroe St. from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., is open to the public and will feature employers from a wide variety of career fields such as truck driving, education, agriculture and law enforcement.
“The Job Fair this year has a large range of careers with the opportunity for job seekers to speak to employers and put a face with the resume,” said Claudia Call, Business Account Specialist for Workforce Connection and the fair’s organizer. “In many cases, they may get the opportunity to be interviewed on the spot.”
Employers present will include Coalinga State Hospital, Coalinga Regional Medical Center, California Highway Patrol, Biodico, Harris Farms, Gazelle Trucking, Ag4Jobs, Police Science Institute, West Hills Community College District and more.
West Hills Community College District will be recruiting adjunct instructors at the fair for employment at West Hills College Coalinga. College faculty and administrators will be on site to meet with perspective adjuncts to discuss the advantages of working at WHCC.
