West Hills College Lemoore lauds and closes out Measure E funds

 All of the funds from Measure E have now been allocated toward several projects including the planning and initial construction of the new WHCL student union and campus infrastructure and repairs.

 Measure E also funded technology and classroom improvements at Riverdale High School and Avenal High School, which will be used by West Hills College students in those communities.

 "The generous support of the voters has allowed us to improve our facilities with state-of-the-art instructional equipment and learning space so that West Hills College Lemoore can continue providing high quality instruction that will better prepare our students for careers in our community," said Dr. Kristin Clark, WHCL President. "We look forward to serving them in our new and updated facilities."

 The District made good use of the approximately $18.34 million in Measure E funds that were allocated, leveraging that amount at a rate of almost 2:1 and completing $35,965,795 worth of projects.

 Additional projects going forward will be completed under another measure passed by voters in 2008, Measure L. Those will include continued work on the Student Union, a new instructional building and educational facilities in Avenal and Riverdale.
