City of Lemoore will no longer accept used motor oil

The City of Lemoore will no longer accept used motor oil after July 29, 2016. There are alternate local disposal locations for used motor oil and filters that accept up to 5 gallons per resident:

Californians illegally discard millions of gallons of used oil each year. Used oil is a household hazardous waste that pollutes the environment and contaminates waterways when disposed of improperly – through storm drains, gutters and the garbage. One gallon of oil can contaminate one million gallons of drinking water.
