When Summer is done, it's best to go out with a bang—or, in the case of Lemoore, a Bash. This time, the celebration of a great Summer of fun was held at Veterans Park on Bush Street on Saturday afternoon. The Second Annual Bash attracted several hundred children and adults to help with the season, a fond farewell and welcome to the school opening in two weeks. For the latter, free backpacks were handed out to youngsters who stood patiently in line towards the end of the event.

Veterans Park was awash with games, bounce houses, food vendors, and free hot dogs cooked up by the Lemoore Rotary Club.
Both the Lemoore Volunteer Fire Department and Lemoore Police Departments held demonstrations, showing off their respective skills in keeping Lemoore residents safe. The police showed off their canine officers' skills, while the fire department gave children a chance to feel what a high-pressure hose feels like when dispensing water on a fire.
A dunk tank was set up so guests could cool off local business people, police officers, and elected officials.
