Lemoore High grads celebrate another rite of passage as large class gives fond farewell to school years

Another year and another Lemoore High School graduation as family, friends, and outgoing seniors bid farewell to high school years and all the memories that go with this familiar rite of passage.

It was a hot evening that greeted the 2024 graduation class as they marched majestically into venerable Tiger Stadium where they were greeted by family and friends, all on hand to see their loved ones earn their hard-won diplomas.

This year’s student speakers included Valedictorian Owen Jones and Salutatorian Ethan Avalos.

The 2024 class president, Yadhira Carrillo was on hand as were her fellow officers Reilly Mueller, Vice President, Logan Sais, Secretary: Cynthia Barajas. Treasurer, Ethan Avalos, Delegate, and Andrew Mora Delegate.

Saying farewell to the large class was longtime principal, Rodney Brumit, who has decided to step away from his leadership position at Lemoore High School.

Board of Trustee members were on hand including Melody Measell, President, Dr. Guadalupe Solis, Rodney Evangelo, and Jason Orton.

Also on hand was Lemoore Union High School District Superintendent Dr. Miguel Guerrero.
