West Hills men's basketball team takes next step in NorCal basketball after impressive win against Delta College

West Hills College Lemoore’s men’s basketball team, after securing the 14th seed in the Northern California Regionals and then defeating visiting Delta College 89-83 in a game played Wednesday in Lemoore’s Golden Eagle Arena, is headed to play the No. 4 seed, San Jose City College, in the next round of the Northern Cal Regionals.

The 18-10 Golden Eagles will take on San Jose City College in a March 2 game at San Jose. The winner of that game will advance in the NorCal Regionals,

The Golden Eagles were impressive in Thursday’s game in West Hills Golden Eagle Arena Wednesday night. James Nichols led the way with his basketball heroics. He poured in 29 points to lead the West Hills team to the 89-83 win.

Nichols was indeed impressive, as he scored 14 in the second half to complement an impressive first-half effort as well. Keseon Bazille complemented Nichols's showing with 20 points of his own, including four three-pointers in the first half.

Trey Booker chipped in with 15 points on the night, including nine first-half points.
