Despite a spate of warm weather, community leaders and others came out to support the Kings Lions Club and its first ever “Stuff the Bus” event Saturday afternoon in Lemoore. Saturday’s school supply drive, held at the Lemoore Kmart, is another in a series of youth service projects that the Kings Lions have called the ROAR (Responsibility, Opportunity, Attitude and Respect) Program.
The school supply drive was co-hosted by Assembly Member Rudy Salas. Also in attendance were Lemoore City Councilmembers Ray Madrigal and Eddie Neal. According to William Munoz, Kings Lions Club 1st Vice President and “Stuff the Bus” Chair: “The Kings Lions are truly grateful for the support that the public gives us. By providing area students with the necessary supplies, we can send them to school better prepared and steer them towards academic success.”
In addition to Kmart, other participates included Chevron Oil and the Lemoore Leos Club both of whom helped to make Saturday’s event a success. For more information or to get involved with the Kings Lions Club, please contact Pini Etchegoin, Club Membership Director, at (559) 707-5912.
