The Kings Lions Club is at it again, and there are a bunch of senior citizens who are happy for it. The local Lions Club has partnered with the Hanford Lowe's Home Improvement store to help the Lemoore Senior Citizens Center get some much needed maintenance and rehabilitation.

The Kings Lions Club has a strong history helping the Lemoore Senior Citizens Center with generous donations and hands-on projects.  The cooperation continues as the Lions stepped up once again and helped the seniors with another project, this one a joint Lions Club and Lowe’s effort to complete a pair of outdoor projects.

The work was done over a couple of weekends. This hands-on project was completed by volunteers of both the Kings Lions Club and Hanford Lowes.  The two organizations installed over 400 feet of new perimeter chain link fencing, replacing the existing fence which was damaged and ineffective.

In addition, the Lions and Lowes built a new gazebo, providing another area for people to sit and lounge.  Other projects included three new picnic benches, fresh paint on the existing gazebo, privacy fencing around the existing heating and air condition units. The groups also constructed a sitting wall around the deep pit barbecue, previously rehabbed by the Kings Lions Club.

They even pulled a few weeds, trimmed trees and added fresh bark to the flower garden.
