The annual Breakfast with Santa used to be held in the Lemoore Civic Auditorium. Well, the annual Christmas breakfast, sponsored by the Lemoore Community Services Department and hosted by the Lemoore Lions Club, simply needed more space, so they moved to the city’s Cinnamon Recreation Complex.
The result? Over 1,000 persons on Sunday morning showed up for a breakfast of scrambled eggs, pancakes, and ham. They were also treated to a visit from Santa Claus, arts and crafts, hosted by the Lemoore High School Alternative Education students, a little bit of music and a whole lot of spirit.
Lemoore Recreation Supervisor Sheila Taylor confirmed that they Lemoore Lions will serve more than 1,000 meals, thus generating from $4,000 to $5,000 for the department’s scholarship program, which provides funds for kids to enroll in recreation programs they might not be able to afford.
