KART plans public meetings on unmet transit needs in Kings County

Notice is hereby given that the Kings County Area Public Transit Agency (KCAPTA) and Kings County Associations of Governments (KCAG) will hold Public Hearings in pursuant to Public Utilities Code Section 99238.5. The meetings will be for the purpose of soliciting comments on the unmet transit needs that may exist within Kings County and that might be reasonable to meet by establishing or contracting for new public transportation or specialized transportation services or by expanding existing services. Unmet public transportation needs are defined as, at a minimum, transportation services which are not provided for person who do not have access to private vehicles, or other forms of transportation, due to age, income, or disability, for the purpose of medical care, shopping social/recreational activities, educations/training and employment. A finding of no unmet transit needs must make specific reference to the effort undertaken in development of the Regional Transportation Plan (RTP), to identify the public transportation needs of the transit dependent, especially the elderly, disabled and poor. The hearings will be held at the Kings County Board of Supervisors Chambers, Administration Building, Kings County Government Center, 1400 W Lacey Blvd. Hanford, CA 93230 on the following dates and times:

KCAPTA – January 25, 2017 @ 3:30 pm

KCAPTA – February 22, 2017 @ 3:30 pm

KCAG – April 26, 2017 @ 4:30 pm

KCAG – May 24, 2016 @ 4:30 pm

AVISO DE AUDIENCIA PÚBLICA ANTE EL ÁREA PÚBLICA TRÁNSITO AGENCIA DEL CONDADO DE KINGS

Se hace saber que la Agencia Kings County Public Area Transit (KCAPTA) y Asociaciones de Gobiernos del Condado de Kings (KCAG) llevará a cabo audiencias públicas en virtud del Código de Servicios Públicos Sección 99238.5. Las reuniones serán con el fin de solicitar comentarios sobre las necesidades de transporte no satisfechas que puedan existir dentro del Condado de Kings y que podría ser razonable para cubrir mediante el establecimiento o la contratación de nuevos servicios de transporte público o transporte especializado o mediante la ampliación de los servicios existentes. Necesidades de transporte público no satisfechas se definen como, como mínimo, los servicios de transporte que no están previstas para la persona que no tienen acceso a los vehículos privados, u otras formas de transporte, debido a la edad, los ingresos o la discapacidad, con el propósito de la atención médica, compras / actividades recreativas, educación / formación social y el empleo. Un hallazgo de ningún necesidades insatisfechas de tránsito deberá hacer referencia específica a los esfuerzos realizados en el desarrollo del Plan Regional de Transporte (RTP), para identificar las necesidades de transporte público de tránsito dependientes, especialmente los ancianos, los discapacitados y los pobres.
