What the friendly home and design aficionados offer is experience and a knack for real estate and interior design. After all, Jamie, 31, has a bachelor of arts degree in interior design from Fresno State, while hubby John, 37, also a Bulldog, earned his degree in finance and is in the process of finishing his MBA.

John and Jamie Tulak held a grand opening for Studio 12 on February 4 at their new show located at 312 West D Street.

Jamie is a native of Hanford while John’s a Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania boy. The United States Navy brought him to Lemoore. He liked it so much he decided to stay, and he’s been here 13 years. Along the way, he met Jamie, eventually tying the marriage knot. The two local business people have a three-year-old as well.

“This is our home now,” said John. “We really want to have a positive impact on Lemoore. We really like it here.”

Jamie’s a big believer in Lemoore as well. “We looked at many places,” she said. “But I felt a real tug to Lemoore. We really like this community.”

They both have their real estate licenses, so if it comes to the purchase, selling and the look of one’s home, it all comes in one complete package at Studio 12.

The business is a retail storefront where browsers can also buy furnishings for their home, seek interior design services, or sign up to have their home staged – a way to spruce up an empty home to appeal to eager home buyers.

How did the two entrepreneurs come to set up shop in Lemoore? “I had real estate clients over the years who always wanted to know if I provided services for staging homes,” said Jamie. “And in February, 2016, we staged our first property. Obviously, being in the real estate business helped us establish the business and we hit the ground running.”

It was when they were staging homes that clients asked them where they got their furniture. “That’s when we decided to open our storefront,” said Jamie.
