It was a perfect night as unseasonably cool weather drove the early summer heat away from the fourth annual Kings Lions’ Brewfest held at the Kings Lions Park at the intersection of Highway 199 and 19th Avenue.
According to Brewfest Chairman Ray Etchegoin it was a near perfect night as over 1,500 persons showed up at the local park to swig brew, play games, listen to music and enjoy cigars and fine food, delivered courtesy of several local eateries.
The best part: The generous Kings Lions Club gave generally of their proceeds to local organizations. Several worthy causes left the Brewfest a bit happier thanks to the Kings’ Lions largess. Etchegoin told The Leader that big checks were handed out to the Lemoore Parks and Recreation Department ($2,500), Sarah Mooney Museum ($2,000), and the Kings County Sheriff's Explorers Program ($2,000).
