Lemoore’s varsity volleyballers are finding the early going difficult in the West Yosemite League as Redwood came to town last night (Sept. 19) and beat the Tigers in four sets.

Lemoore fell to 0-2 in the WYL as the team travels to Visalia tonight (Sept. 20) hoping to rebound against Mt. Whitney High School.

Against the Rangers, Lemoore split the first two games, losing the first 25-18 before rebounding for a 25-20 victory. But Redwood closed out the match 25-17 and 25-15 to hand Lemoore’s its second league setback.

There were bright spots, including four aces from Annemarie Schalde and 18 digs from Leah Rodrigues.

Redwood brought an impressive 13-3 record into last night’s match. With the win, the Rangers improved to 3-0 in league play.
