Lemoore’s varsity girls’ soccer team is on a roll. Since losing their first three of five matches, the Tigers have won eight in a row, including Monday’s 5-0 West Yosemite League opener over Hanford West. The Tigers are 9-3 overall and 1-0 in the WYL as they take on Monache tonight in Porterville.

The boys’ team, while playing at home, handed the Huskies an 8-0 setback as Lemoore improved to 1-0 in the WYL and 8-5 overall. Lemoore’s boys host Monache tonight at Tiger Stadium.

In Monday’s game, junior Kalijah Sanders provided most of the offensive power as the talented kicker four of the five Lemoore goals as her teammates played solid defense, holding the Huskies scoreless.

Following tonight’s game, Lemoore won’t play again until Jan. 3 when the ladies take on Redwood High School in Visalia. The boys will host Redwood that same night.
