Tigers notch wins as LHS teams prepare for New Year sports action

Lemoore’s varsity girls’ soccer team continued its winning ways as the ladies, and Lemoore’s athletic teams get back into action in the New Year. The Tigers got goals from Kalijah Sanders and Mia Sanchez to tie a tough Monache squad 2-2 on Dec. 19.

The 9-3-1 Tigers return to West Yosemite League play with a Jan. 3 game at Redwood High School. The Tigers already have a win over Hanford West in league action.

Lemoore’s boys’ soccer team will host Redwood in a 6 p.m. contest in Tiger Stadium on Jan. 3. The boys ended the year with a convincing 3-1 victory over visiting Monache Dec. 19.

Lemoore’s boys’ basketball team (6-3) is playing in the Atascadero Christmas Tournament this week and will begin the New Year with a WYL game at Redwood High School on Jan. 5.

Lemoore’s ladies (2-7) have a non-league game scheduled with Selma in the Event Center on Jan. 3 before embarking on WYL play with a home game against Redwood High School on Jan. 5.

Lemoore’s wrestlers get back to action on Jan. 5 at the Doc Buchanan Invitational.
