The City of Lemoore has scheduled a series of public meetings for residents to comment on the city’s intentions to increase the assessment of several Landscape and Lighting Maintenance Districts. According to city officials, the zones in question have experienced additional expenditures which exceed annual revenues.

The original property owners approved the initial districts to pay for public landscaping and lighting areas. The zones vary in size and assessment. To increase the assessments requires a vote of the property owner. Ballots were mailed to property owners within the zones.

There are seven landscape and lighting districts up for re-assessment. The zones and times are as follows:

  • Zone 1, Wednesday, April 11 and 25 at 6;30 p.m. at Lions’ Park
  • Zone 5 Wednesday, April 8 at 6:30 p.m. at the Old Firehouse on Cinnamon
  • Zone 6, Wednesday, May 2 at 6:30 p.m. on Bush St. Between Madrid and Barcelona
  • Zone 7, Wednesday, May 9 at 6:30 p.m. on Silverado between Cambria and 19th Ave.
  • Zone 9, Wednesday, May 16 at 6:30 p.m. at Hanford Armona Rd. East of the Church
  • Zone 10, Wednesday, May 23 at 6:30 p.m. on Homestead at Welcome Way
