A timely classic is coming to Lemoore High School. The school’s drama department will present the annual Children’s Theatre production of “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz” adapted by Michele L. Vacca based on the famous L. Frank Baum novels.

There are three dates scheduled for October 1, 2, and 3 in the LHS Auditorium. Each show begins promptly at 7 p.m. and tickets are available at the door: $6 General Admission, $5 ASB Card, $3 LHS Purple Card and free with an LHS Gold Card.

Donations of canned or non-perishable food items are accepted at the Monday, October 1 production.  All three performances have an intermission with refreshments and silent auction baskets.

“The Wonderful Wizard of Oz,” is a clever spin of the classic. From munchkins to witches’ apprentices, Dorothy encounters new friends and enemies on the long journey through the mysterious land of Oz.  Following the yellow brick road, she seeks out the advice of the Wizard of Oz. However, with all favors, comes a price! The Wizard gives Dorothy a hard task to accomplish to return home. This ragtag team of friends endures the adventure of a lifetime!
