Adventist annual Think Pink Luncheon raising breast cancer awareness slated for Oct. 16

The community is invited to attend Adventist Health’s 4th annual Think Pink Luncheon to raise awareness about breast cancer. The event is on Tuesday, Oct. 16 at the Hanford Civic Auditorium and will include a free catered lunch from noon to 1 p.m. Doors will open at 11 a.m.

This year’s featured speaker is breast cancer survivor and Fresno County Sheriff Margaret Mims who became an outspoken advocate for early detection when she was diagnosed in 2008. Also speaking will be Andrea Kofl, the president of Adventist Health in the Central Valley, who lost her mother to breast cancer.

Participants will hear survivor stories, updates on the expansion of the Adventist Health Hanford Breast Care Center and have an opportunity to tour a mobile mammogram unit that has become instrumental in helping women who live in rural areas gain easy access to screenings. The unit will be parked outside of the Hanford Civic Auditorium for people to tour, following the lunch.

Everyone who attends will receive a gift and be entered to win prizes.

To RSVP for the event, please email ThinkPink@ah.org or call 559-537-1535.
