Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino celebrates 35th anniversary with Nov. 1 Street Fair

In honor of its 35th Anniversary, Tachi Palace Hotel and Casino will host a Street Fair on Thursday, November 1 from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Tachi Palace south entrance. Admission to the event is free and open to the public.

 Also, as part of its 35th Anniversary celebration, Tachi Palace is giving away more than $2 million in cash and prizes, including a Tiny House, One-Ton Truck and more, with the drawing also taking place on Thursday, November 1. For those wanting to see the grand prizes in person, the house and truck will be on display at the casino starting Monday, October 15.

Fun for the entire family, the Street Fair will feature photo opportunities with Miss California, local midget race car drivers, and their cars, The Grizzlies own Parker, Local TPF fighters, and from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Elvis will be in the building with his pink Cadillac for a photo op. There also will be live entertainment, music, hot air balloon rides, face painting, plus games and raffles for those 18 years and older. Musical performances include Latin music by Heavy Weather and Afro-Latin Psychedelic with Jungle Fire. Roaming the grounds will be costumed characters including Chewy & Darth Vader from Star Wars, stilt walkers and other impersonators.

 Local artisans will be on-hand selling crafts including an area dedicated specifically to Native American artists. Local charities will be joining the excitement with various raffle opportunities and fun games to educate attendees about their organizations. Food trucks will have a variety of options available for purchase and will be participating in a Food Truck Throw Down. Proceeds from the booth and food truck spaces, and the raffle, which includes a Trace Adkins autographed guitar, will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project.

Throughout the year, Tachi Palace has been enhancing the property with more than 900 additional parking spaces, a paved outdoor entertainment center on the north lawn – home to a free comedy concert series with the last concert on October 14 – and a new outdoor Sprung structure providing 45,000 square feet of shade and exhaust fans for cooling for shows and entertainment.

Also, under construction is the new Tachi Palace Family Entertainment Center. The Center will open soon, and at 88,350 square feet, the center will include a 30-lane bowling alley and an eight-screen movie theater, plus an arcade with latest games and a 10-table billiards room. New food and drink concessions also will be part of the concourse at the Entertainment Center.
