Monthly Tachi Palace Hotel breakfast nets over $8,000 for United Cerebral Palsy

UCP and its 64 affiliates share a mission to advance the independence, productivity and full citizenship of people with cerebral palsy, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and other conditions. The UCP network of affiliates provides services and support to more than 176,000 children and adults.
A total of $4,031.02 was raised at the door, and Tachi Palace Hotel & Casino and the Santa Rosa Rancheria Tribe matched the amount bringing the grand total of the donation to $8,062.04. Assistant Guest Service Manager Norma Cortes was on hand to present the check to UCP executive director, Roger Slingerman.
“We are so grateful to Tachi Palace for giving us this incredible opportunity,” said Slingerman. “At UCP we believe all individuals with disabilities should ‘live without limits.’ Our stimulating programs serve people of all ages with cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, autism, traumatic brain injuries, and developmental and intellectual disabilities.”
The money raised will assist in serving over 1,100 individuals with disabilities and their families throughout the Central Valley.
The next community breakfast will be held on Friday, April 26, and will benefit the Central Section California Interscholastic Federation.
Tachi Palace hosts a monthly community breakfast that features a breakfast buffet, informative community news, and business networking, as well as raffle prizes. Attendees are encouraged to make a minimum donation of $5 to attend the breakfast. All contributions benefit a featured organization. For more information, visit tachipalace.com.
