Does your child have a passion to become a nurse, doctor, or health care worker? Adventist Health is looking for a select few high school and college students to take part in its 5th annual Discover Health Care Program.

This year, Dr. Adalberto Renteria, Adventist Health’s regional medical officer, will personally select 12 students to take part in the program, which will be 2-weeks in length.

During the program, students will receive:

  • Career counseling
  • Classroom education
  • Experience in a hospital or clinical setting
  • And more!

“We want to identify strong talent in our own communities, so we can increase access to quality health care,” says Dr. Renteria. “Students who’ve attended the program in the past have gone on to pursue health care education and training with the goal of returning to the Central Valley to help Adventist Health live its mission of ‘living God’s love by inspiring health, wholeness, and hope.’ I am personally looking forward to meeting individuals, this year, who are excited to help us carry out this mission.”

Applicants should be sophomores, juniors or seniors in high school; or freshmen or sophomores in college. The deadline to submit applications is May 31, 2019. To apply, visit: www.AHDiscoverHealthcare.com
