Congressman Cox, in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, announces Latino Inspire Award

In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month Congressman TJ Cox has announced the Latino Inspire Award and is encouraging the district’s residents to nominate deserving Latinos.

According to Congressman Cox, Hispanic Heritage Month is an opportunity to honor the contributions of the Latino family to our nation. “In California’s 21st Congressional District, thousands of working Latino families work every day to improve our communities and make them a place we can raise the next generation,” said Rep. TJ Cox, Cox, inviting his district’s residents to nominate Latinos in the community. “I invite you to nominate a Latino/a to receive the Latino Inspire Award and be recognized,” said Cox. 

The Latino inspire Award shall be granted on a nomination basis. Anyone may nominate a candidate for the Latino Inspire Award until September 27, 2019. Those nominated must be of Latino heritage and live and/or work within the 21st Congressional District. Nominees must have meaningfully contributed to the community within CA-21 and may belong to any sector of work. 

In order to nominate a candidate, please write a 100-150-word explanation as to why you believe your nominee should be recognized. Additionally, include the sector of work, place of residence, and your relationship to the nominee. Those recognized will be featured on the Congressman’s public website and be honored at a local reception organized by the Congressman’s District Offices.
