City of Lemoore reminds citizens about illegal dumping of trash and recyclables

During this time of crisis, the City would like to remind all residents that the illegal dumping of trash, and recyclables, is prohibited. Dumping in a refuse container, other than your own, without permission, is illegal and places an undue burden on the party responsible for paying for the container.

City Municipal Code 4‐8‐1‐A states:

“Burning, Burying or Dumping Garbage Prohibited: It shall be unlawful for any person to incinerate, deposit, dump or bury, or cause or permit to be incinerated, deposited, dumped or buried garbage upon or in any public street, alley or other public places, or upon any private property within the city. (Ord. 8402, 3‐1984)”

Listed below are some options available to the residents of Lemoore to dispose of additional recyclables:

  • Residents may request one additional blue and/or green can for your residence at no additional costs (3+ cans are available for an added cost). Please contact Public Works at (559) 927-6744 Ext 744 to request an additional can.
  • Residents may also dump recyclables in the City recycle dumpsters located at the Cinnamon Municipal Complex, 711 W. Cinnamon Drive, during the third week of every month. A schedule has been provided below.

The City would like to thank you for your cooperation and understanding during these difficult times. Please remember to practice social distancing, wash your hands for a minimum of 20 seconds, and only leave your home if necessary.
