Members of the McDonald family spent part of their Saturday afternoon showing off their artistic skills. Jason, Elizabeth, and Dylan McDonald employing a variety of colorful chalk created several impressive artworks on the street and sidewalk in front of their home.
Both Jason and Dylan are talented wrestlers at Lemoore High School, while three-year-old Elizabeth appears to be enjoying the Saturday afternoon art lesson. The three are on Spring Break but will likely be home for the rest of the school year via distance learning due to COVID-19.
Such artworks have become a regular site in some circles. Recently, Lemoore Elementary District teachers visited their students, leaving sidewalk chalk pictures and messages for their sixth-grade students. The message? That they were missed and loved.
The McDonalds and other students will likely have plenty of time for artwork and distance learning as Kings County's schools decided last week that for all practical purposes, the school year ended for their students. Instead of classroom time, students will undergo "distance learning" for the rest of the year.
