Kings County Health Department officials announce new drive-through COVID-19 testing site slated for Alma's Flea Market
The new site is supported by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) and in collaboration with Verily's Baseline COVID-19 Testing Program. The site will have the capacity to test up to 240 individuals per day and will be available on Thursdays and Fridays, starting Thursday, July 23, at Alma's Flea Market.
Residents can currently make an appointment using the BaselineCOVID-19 Testing Program online screener and appointment scheduling system found at www.projectbaseline.com/COVID19.
The screening and testing criteria are based on public health guidelines and may be updated to reflect the latest guidance from public health authorities. Residents can also contact the KCDPH at (559) 852-4300 for registration assistance and to schedule an appointment.

"Increased testing will be instrumental to determine where and how COVID-19 is spreading," said Nichole Fisher, Nursing Division Manager at Kings County Department of Public Health. "We encourage community members to continue taking care of themselves and others by following recommended precautions by the Centers for Disease Control, the California Department of Public Health, and the
CDPH directs the KCDPH community-based COVID-19 testing program. In collaboration, the Baseline COVID-19 Program provides a connected solution to support individuals from screening through testing and receipt of their test results.
Verily developed The Baseline COVID-19 Program working closely with state and local government health authorities and other private health organizations to initially expand access to COVID-19 screening and testing in areas with a high volume of known cases and continues to expand nationally. Eligible persons must be 18 years or older, live or work in Kings County, and must be willing to electronically sign the COVID-19 Public Health Authorization Form and Lab Consent.
