Donations help West Hills Lemoore support students amid COVID-19 pandemic
Thanks to a grant and a generous donation from Best Buy by Saveco supermarkets, West Hills College Lemoore will be distributing $63,000 in food vouchers to students on November 19 to help them during the Thanksgiving holiday.

“We know that times are difficult for many of our students and their families.  Basic needs like shelter, health services, and sometimes even groceries are a luxury for many of them. It pains me to think that some of our students would go hungry, especially on Thanksgiving,” said Kristin Clark, President at West Hills College Lemoore.  “We are grateful for the grant and the generous donation from Best Buy by Saveco.  It’s been a tough year, and it’s nice to be able to offer a glimmer of hope to our students in need.”

To be eligible for the vouchers, students must have applied for the FAFSA or Dream Act, be taking at least 6 units at West Hills College Lemoore, and have financial need.  Students also need to pre-register by November 13th.
