Vice President Pence, in one of last official trips, scheduled to visit NAS Lemoore on Saturday
In July 2019, Pence made his initial visit to Lemoore, landing his jet at NAS Lemoore and visiting Harris Ranch, and then greeting 500 to 600 locals at a fete at the farm of Lemoore residents Doug and Julie Freitas.
It may be one of his last vice-presidential visits. Pence, along with the president, Donald Trump, will be ending their four-year term on Wednesday, January 20, and will leave office. Pence has indicated he will attend President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration that day, while Trump has indicated he will not.
There are no indications that Pence, accompanied by his wife, will venture out into the Valley. His spouse, Karen Pence, is scheduled to deliver remarks to military spouses at the base. In September 2018, Mrs. Pence launched an awareness campaign to elevate and encourage military spouses.
