Close to 100 ice cream enthusiasts showed up Saturday night (May 15) at Lemoore's venerable Sarah Mooney Museum for an ice cream social and entertainment. The local fundraiser for the museum may signal the relaxing of restrictions related to the Coronavirus. National guidelines on dealing with the virus, in recent days, have been relaxed due in large part to vaccinations.
The ice cream social and local ice cream enthusiasts were treated to a near-perfect May evening as The Rolling Cone, a local ice cream vendor, scooped out large portions of Superior Dairy ice cream too long lines of sweet-toothed patrons.
The Lemoore Sarah Mooney Museum, located at 542 West D Street, also offered outdoor music provided by the Macey Blues Band. The museum itself has been temporarily closed during the Pandemic, but when it does open, it's available for visits on Sundays from 12 to 3 p.m.
