Lemoore scores 62 to battle past CVC for Division II football title and playoffs
The Tigers, behind early, stormed back behind six touchdowns from its quarterback, Ty Chambers, and the play of its offensive and defensive standouts. Coaches, players, and fans will likely learn Sunday whom they are likely to face in the CIF Division II playoffs. Lemoore, thanks to Friday's win, improved to 12-1 overall, its only loss early in the season to Clovis West. Since then, the Tigers have racked up big scores, easily getting past their opponents.

The Tigers defeated CVC after falling behind early 14-0 in the first quarter before scoring its first touchdown on an 81-yard kickoff return by Kobe Green. Central Valley Christian took a 21-7 lead into the second quarter when Lemoore began fighting back with a 77-yard TD pass from Chambers to Kobe Green for 77 yards to cut the gap to 21-14. Right before the half, Andrew Moench scored on a two-yard run to tie the game at 21-21.
The Tigers poured it on in the second half, scoring 41 points, and managed to hold off a hungry CVC team 62-46 for the Central Section championship.
