Naval Air Station Lemoore Commanding Officer Capt. Douglas Peterson attended the Kings County Board of Supervisors' regular meeting this week to brief members of the Kings County Board of Supervisors on the economic impact that the Base has on the local area.

Peterson also presented the supervisors with artwork depicting NAS Lemoore's enduring partnership with the Central Valley.

Also, during the meeting, three of the aviators from VFA-122 Flying Eagles who participated in the Super Bowl flyover were recognized as part of the Board of Supervisors' observance of #womenshistorymonth.

The aviators were joined by ground crew, without which the jets would never leave the ground. All were presented with certificates of recognition and applauded for their hard work, dedication, and professionalism.
