Lemoore’s talented boys water polo team, for the most part, put on a pretty good show this season as its players managed to crush most of its competition this season, finishing the year with a 25-4 record, including a 10-0 romp in the West Yosemite league.

However, after defeating Hanford 21-5 in the WYL final, the Tigers were matched up against what turned out to be a powerful Atascadero water polo team in the playoffs.

While the Tigers played the Greyhounds at about the same level, they failed to overcome the robust Division II Atascadero team. The Greyhounds defeated the Tigers 15-13 in what turned out to be an exciting Division II contest.

Senior Brendan Meyer was a big part of the Tigers’ success this year, finishing with 101 goals in the regular season. Andrew Mora finished with 74 goals, while Drew Rhoads had 57 goals on the season and a team-leading 110 assists.
