There weren’t many surprises in the West Yosemite League All-League selections, as 20 Tigers earned spots on the season-end all-league list. One of the standouts, Trevon Gaffney, was named Lineman of the Year.

The Tigers are currently vying for the CIF Central Section Division II championship. Lemoore takes on visiting Centennial High on Friday night, and a win there will put them in the Division II title game next week.

Gaffney and his cohorts are 9-3 overall and were 4-1 in the WYL.

Lemoore placed a total of seven Tigers on the WYL All-League Team. On the first team offense, selections included wide receiver Kobe Green, wide receiver, and Elijah Daley, running back, as well as offensive linemen Joe Fabry and Mataniu Lagoo.

Other first-teamers on defense included Kiontre Harris, defensive back, Jace Silva, linebacker, and Jeremiah Mann, defensive lineman.

Second-team offensive stars included Dameion Hernandez, a wide receiver, and Kiontre Harris, also a wide receiver. The second-team defensive all-leaguers included Kobe Green, defensive back, and Dorian Davids, defensive lineman.

Honorable mentions included Dameion Hernandez, running back; Caleb Griffin, offensive line; Lucas Jensen, tight end; and Terron McCoy, running back. Honorable mention honors go to Elijah Daley, defensive back, Daniel Rodrigues, linebacker, and Spencer Silva, linebacker. Special Teams Honorable Mention status went to Robert Felipe.
