Lemoore High Tigers on a roll after big win over Hanford West Huskies 87-59; Lady Tigers fall 34-33

Lemoore’s talented boys’ basketball team is on a roll after defeating the Hanford West Huskies 87-59 on Monday night in the Lemoore High School Event Center. Lemoore’s Tigers improved to 7-5 after winning its last five games.

Lemoore will host Immanuel High in a Dec. 21 game in the Event Center.

Lemoore had its hands full in the opening stanza as West battled the Tigers to a 17-17 draw. However, the Tigers scored a whopping 26 points in the second quarter and then poured in 29 in the third to dominate the game.

Kaden Lopes led the charge with 24 points, and Andrew Mora tossed in 23 points. Kobe Green, an LHS football standout, contributed 13 points in the win.

Hanford West’s Remy Barnes led his team with 23 points with 13 points in the third quarter.

Lemoore’s girls’ basketball, on Saturday, Dec. 9, fell 34-33 to Kingsburg. The Lemoore ladies are in a tournament beginning Dec. 27 in Lemoore and will host Corcoran and Righetti High School.
