Three NAS Lemoore-based strike fighter squadrons (VFA) are scheduled to return Tuesday, December 10 at approximately between 11:30 a.m. and 12:15 p.m following their long deployment aboard the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier USS Nimitz. Lemoore first-term City Councilmember Eddie Neal, the victim of a hit-and-run driver, on Wednesday at the intersection of Linda Lee Circle and Cinnamon Drive is doing well Tuesday night after undergoing surgery for injuries sustained in the accident. Lemoore City Council Members, at their Tuesday meeting, approved an employment contract with interim city manager Jeff Laws on Tuesday. The Lemoore City Council, at its Tuesday meeting, appointed Interim City Manager Jeff Laws as its full-time city manager. Recently, after failing in a search to find a city manager to replace long-time manager Jeff Briltz, councilmembers turned to Laws to continue serving as an interim, at least until the beginning of the next fiscal year in July, 2014.
