All my life I have loved learning about the natural world and been excited by new innovations and scientific discoveries. As a high school student, I was in our local MESA (Mathematics, Engineering, and Science Achievement) club and got lots of exposure to professionals through a STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics) institute.

The attached photo was taken at the 19th Avenue Park (Kings Lions Park) this morning (Nov. 17) at 6:27 a.m. The lights were on (not sure why...).
There is standing water in the photo. Residents have paid $8000 in fines for water waste. Does the city have an exemption? Shouldn't the City of Lemoore lead by example? The Bermuda grass in the park is dormant and does not require water at this time of the year.

Lemoore Police Officer Osvaldo Maldonado was honored Friday at the 19th Annual Hanford Chamber of Commerce Public Safety Appreciation Luncheon for his work in Lemoore.
