Lemoore High School will welcome back about 100 teachers and 200 students as school in Lemoore begins Wednesday, August 12. The local high school will be celebrating nearly 115 years in business. It was founded in 1901.

The canals around and through Kings County and Lemoore are flowing, thanks to the recent Kings River water release. Water was released on July 3 and it took days before arriving in Lemoore. This has been one of the driest years in recorded history for the Kings River watershed area. Keep reading...

A year ago, local community organizers sponsored an event called “Kicking for Kenya,” which they hoped would be an annual event to help a community center in Nairobi, Kenya with soccer balls and sports equipment. It was indeed a difficult night for Lemoore's talented varsity boys' basketball team. The Tigers, who split their season series with the Bullpups, traveled to Hanford on Friday and suffered a disappointing 65-39 loss and fell from the Division II playoffs. The Tigers finished 20-7 on the year and were 11-1 in the West Yosemite League to tie Hanford for the league championship.
