Lemoore High School Tiger Stadium was the place to be this past weekend. Not only did the Tiger football team win the West Yosemite League title, but the much-vaunted Tiger marching band strutted its stuff during halftime on Friday night. On Saturday, the band returned to Tiger Stadium and played host to the third annual Tiger Classic where at least 14 schools from throughout the Valley came to compete and perform.
Liberty Middle School opened the show with the National Anthem shortly after 5:00 p.m., and Lemoore High School performed in exhibition at the end of the night. Other local schools that competed were Sierra Pacific High School and Hanford High School.
Besides putting on an entertaining show for music lovers, the proceeds from this competition will help fund the LHS Tiger Pride Marching Band and Color Guard in their competitive season
Other schools to compete include, Selma, Corcoran, Templeton, Woodlake, Exeter, Granite Hills, Golden West, Tulare Union, Tulare Western, Buchanan, and Monache.
