Lady Tigers advance in water polo playoffs with thrashing of Kingsburg

Lemoore’s girls’ water polo team advanced in the Division II playoffs. On Saturday, the Tigers beat Kingsburg 15-2 and will travel to number-one ranked Strathmore on Wednesday (Nov. 19) in hopes of advancing.

Against Kingsburg, Matti Cunningham led all scorers with six goals and two assists. Kelley Mellott had four goals and four assists while Alyssa Vazquez notched three goals and handed off a pair of assists. Lauryn Pedersen had a pair of goals while Emily Larmon scored once.

In the goalie’s net, Macy Buhl had 14 saves on the night.
