Golden Eagles crush visiting Gavilan in final tune up for conference play opener Jan. 7

The West Hills College Lemoore women’s basketball team is on a roll as it prepares to open Central Valley Conference play on Wednesday at Porterville College. Game time is 7 p.m. The Golden Eagles improved to 12-4 in the pre-season with a 55-28 drubbing of visiting Gavilan College on Saturday in the Golden Eagle Arena.

The Rams were no match for the Golden Eagles who were much taller and quicker. Standout guard Samantha Earl once again led the Eagles with 15 points. Kody Bush, a freshman center of Lemoore High School, tossed in 8 points for the Golden Eagles.

After Porterville on Wednesday, West Hills College Lemoore visits College of the Sequoias on Jan. 10 for a 7 p.m. game. The Eagles return home on Jan. 14 with a game against Reedley.
