Tigers' struggles continue in West Yosemite League

It’s been a disappointing West Yosemite League campaign for Lemoore’s baseball team. After blowing past the competition in the pre-season and compiling a 12-1 record, the Tigers began the WYL stretch with a 5-3 win over Hanford West. But since then the Tigers have gone 2-5, losing their second round game to the Huskies Friday night 5-3.

The Tigers are 13-10 overall.

The Tigers also lost to Hanford Wednesday, giving up three runs in the fourth, eventually falling 6-3.

Lemoore hopes to rebound against top-ranked Redwood, which at 22-5 overall and 5-2 in the WYL, is vying for the league’s top spot with El Diamante (5-1). The Tigers will host the Rangers in a 7 p.m. game Friday night in Lemoore.
