Lemoore Trinity Association to celebrate annual Portuguese Festa

The Lemoore Trinity Association will celebrate its annual Portuguese Festa in honor of the Holy Spirit on Sunday, May 31.  Participants in the parade will meet at 9 a.m. at O’Doherty Hall, 884 N. Lemoore Avenue in Lemoore where a procession led by Nancy Corona Blum, President of the Lemoore Festa, will walk to St. Peter’s Catholic Church at 870 N. Lemoore Avenue for the 10 a.m. Mass.

After the Mass, the Procession with return to the Lemoore Trinity Hall at 470 Champion Street where the complimentary traditional Portuguese meal will be served to all that attend.  

One of the highlights is the crowning of the queens and attendants. Senior Queen this year is

Kymber Elyse Martins of Tulare, the daughter of Fernando & Kathryne Martins of Tulare.

Side Attendants to the Senior Queen include Tiffany Elizabeth Herrera, daughter of Jose and Melissa Herrera. Shanice IsIs Vaughn is the daughter of Trent and Sonia Cory of Tulare. 

JUNIOR QUEEN: Amelia DeCastro-Tompkins daughter of Wayne and Paula Tompkins of Lemoore. Side Attendants to the Junior Queen: Sydnee DeCastro-Tompkins daughter of Wayne and Paula Tompkins of Lemoore, and Emily Verissimo daughter of Desi Natalie Verissimo

During the week preceding the Festa, the community is invited to join in prayer.  The Novena will be held at 7 p.m. beginning Saturday May 23.  Novena concludes Sunday May 31.   Novena will be held in the Chapel at the Lemoore Trinity small hall. 

Complimentary Sopas will be served once at lunch and dinner on May 31.  There will also be a Bazaar this year. The Grand March will begin shortly after the Novena.  After the Grand March, there will be a dance, which respectful dancing and dress are required.  All are welcome to attend the events.
