New top administrator at Lemoore's Kings Christian School is on the job
A graduate of Vanguard University in Southern California, Dalafu earned a degree in business. He’s currently working on a Master’s Degree in Leadership Studies. Dalafu says he’s fitting right in at the Christian school. He attended Troy High School in Southern California.
“I absolutely love it here,” he said. “I’ve spent a lot of time getting to know the staff. I’ve also been learning about the school’s culture and the history of Kings Christian School.” There are some amazing people here.”
One of his first jobs out of college was as a teacher in the Philippines at Victory Christian International School where he taught public speaking. He spent some time as the administrator before leaving for the job in Hanford. He also played professional basketball in the Philippines prior to beginning his teaching career there.
The 30-year-old former basketball player attended Vanguard on an athletic scholarship, and also played professional basketball in the Philippines prior to returning to the United States.
In addition to his former job at the Kings Art Center, Dalafu is also an Associate Pastor at Epic Church in Hanford. He intends to keep the pastor’s job while working at Kings Christian.
Dalafu is married. He and his wife Summer have two children, a 5-year-old and 1-year-old.
Kings Christian had an enrollment of about 226 students last school year. Dalafu says he expects to have approximately 215 signed up to attend school in 2015-16.
