Perez is the first Lemoore athlete to earn a UFC contract, earning it when he fought in the UFC’s “Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series” in Las Vegas in 2017.  It was after watching friends train in the MMA (Mixed Martial Arts)  Perez decided to compete himself and started winning local titles, ultimately getting discovered by UFC.

Perez won his first UFC fight in 2017 in Fresno’s Save Mart Center, where he defeated Carls John De Tomas in a three-round bantamweight fight. He won in a second-round tap out.
