Public gets chance to meet finalists for WHC Lemoore president's job on Sept. 10

The public and the West Hills College Lemoore community will meet the final three candidates for college president on Sept. 10, as part of a public forum during which the finalists will speak and answer questions.

Two three-hour sessions will be held, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, with approximately an hour devoted to each candidate. The first session will run from 9 a.m. to noon with an identical second session from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the WHCL conference room, Room 253. All three candidates will be featured in both the morning and in the afternoon and the public is welcome to attend either session.

The finalists are: Dr. Jeremy Brown, former president of Portland Community College in Oregon; Dr. Kristin Clark, vice president of student services for Orange Coast College in California; and Dr. Chemene Crawford, vice president of student services for El Centro College in Texas.

They were selected from the top nine candidates who were interviewed by a committee following a national search. Their top three picks will be interviewed on Sept. 11 by Chancellor Frank Gornick, who will recommend one of them for the position. That recommendation will go to the Board of Trustees for approval at their Sept. 22 meeting.
