Kings Farm Bureau welcomes keynote speaker to annual meeting on Oct. 13

The Kings County Farm Bureau (KCFB) proudly welcomes Karen Musson as the keynote speaker for the organization’s Annual Meeting scheduled for Tuesday, October 13, beginning at 6:00 p.m. at the Hanford Civic Auditorium in Hanford, California.
This annual event will bring Farm Bureau members and other community guests together for an update on KCFB efforts and achievements during the past year, and an overview of our focus for the coming year.  In addition to brief business, guests will enjoy dinner, a silent auction and an engaging address from Karen Musson.
“Karen is one of agriculture’s most tireless advocates. Agriculture and education are her passions,” said Helen Sullivan, co-event chair. “She is a great example for all of us in the industry.”
Karen Musson is a farmer’s daughter, a Central Valley native and a graduate of California State University Fresno. Karen and her family own Gar Tootelian, Inc. (GAR) established in 1949 by Karen’s parents.  The company is a third generation family farm and crop care agri-business providing water, nutrition, regulatory and Crop Care Advice, products and services to 1,500 Central Valley growers in Fresno, Kern, Kings, Madera, Merced and Tulare counties.  
Karen leads GAR’s media, marketing and community outreach activities and is the CEO of the Gar & Esther Tootelian Charitable Foundation established in 2003 to engage, develop and direct philanthropic gifts promoting agricultural careers, activities and awareness. Under Karen’s leadership, the Foundation and GAR have granted more than $2 Million in scholarships and gifts in support of local agricultural groups, educational institutions, community outreach and charitable organizations it considers critical to the future of Central Valley agriculture.
Whether its water rallies, food drives or fundraisers, Karen is the driver developing long-term beneficial partnerships with additional stakeholders to grow awareness of Agriculture throughout California and the nation. Karen and her husband Greg have a daughter Christina and son-in-law Ralph Rendon.  Ralph is a third generation family business partner at GAR.
