Lemoore water polo rebounds with decisive wins over Hanford and Hanford West

Lemoore's boys' water polo team rebounded from a pair of disappointing losses the week before to beat Hanford 17-11 last week and Hanford West 15-4 on Thursday, Oct. 15 to get back into the West Yosemite League race.  In the match against Hanford, Ethan Barnhart led all scorers with six goals while Nate Olson, Calvin Rhoads and Spencer Stinger each contributed two goals apiece.

Against Hanford West Lemoore got three goals apiece from Stinger and Olson. Lemoore is 11-3 overall and 4-3 in league play.

Cameron Olson and Nate Olson combined for five goals but still felt the wrath of a solid El Diamante water polo squad as the Miners swept past the Tigers in the Lemoore pool Wednesday night 16-9. Lemoore also lost to Golden West on Thursday the previous week. The losses dropped the Tigers to 2-3 in the West Yosemite League and 8-3 overall.

On Thursday the Tigers felt the brunt of a tough Golden West team as the Blazers erupted for 16 goals in a 16-9 victory over Lemoore. Calvin Rhoads and Spencer Stinger each had three goals for the Tigers.

Nate Olson scored twice and came up with four steals to lead the Tigers in Tuesday's game against El Diamante. Cameron Olson had three goals and pair of assists.

Jake Hansen turned in an exceptional performance for Lemoore, scoring three times.

The Tiger girls’ varsity team also lost Wednesday night, falling 14-3 to the Miners.
